The bottom end - maybe. But the cylinder head sure would have been upset. High revs combined with solid lifters and double valve springs are far more than the CVH was designed for. At around 8k and more the rocker bolts will be pulled out of the head along with the thread.

Not always, plus it can be sorted with helicoil or timeserts. I know Marks was an 8k+'er (dont know if he'd helicoil'd or anything) and my previous CVH was an 8k+'er and the rocker posts were untouched (yet on a previous head i'd ripped them out at 6k,lol) so its down to luck tbh. My limiter didnt come in till 9k and i did hit it a few times before i decided to lower it a tad
