You can use whatever pumps you like lift and main.

Just make sure they flow as I described.

Also when wiring pumps, if you are pushing them hard, it's best to ensure wiring is more than up to carrying the current seen, and ideally take that supply from the alternator or close to it.
That is ultimately where all the power comes from in the vehicle electrics when running, so where you will find the highest output voltage.
