That should cover all options of plumbing.. Just ensure both pumps have proper voltage at them. The low pressure pump should always flow slightly more than the main engine pump as it will be running at a higher pressure.
A friend uses 2 044's like that to close to 700hp on his car, although the fuel system is pretty much at it's limit there, probably over it a little, but it just hangs on as the injectors are bigger than necessary ( plus some headroom via methanol injection )
Not ideal running it so close to the edge like that though.
That's the setup I have one 044 in it's usual place feeding a 3.5 litre swirl pot then out of that into an other 044 up to the rail.
Both pumps are feed by seperate (their own) brand new MSD wiring looms
