I'm not too clued up on autoboxes, but if it were me I'd keep driving it to see if it happens again as it could just be a one off thing or it could be on its way out. As for getting a diagnostics on it, Google it to see if it has a separate diagnostic port and buy a diagnostic reader it will prob work out cheaper and u can sell it after. Sorry not much help
