Ive got a 2 litre blacktop engine in my mk4 fiesta running a diesel ib5 gearbox front mounted starter.I want to upgrade my gearbox now and I was thinking of using the mk1 focus 1.8 gearbox which is a ib5 box also.The gear slector has cables rather than rods but I was wondering if my std fiesta drive shafts will fit into the focus gearbox or is it a custom job of making them fit.If that was the case I would give it a miss altogether.Does anyone no if I will get away with the fiesta shafts in the focus ib5 box?
