For sure, many people out there using many different type of wheel/hub mods with no probs - just not me.
Extremely dangerous not to use spiggot rings - I would always use the correct size, and would never suggest not using them. I just meant modifying these is also a no-no. (as you know, wheel nuts hold the wheel on, they do NOT take the full weight of the car).
Car manufacturers have done decades of research to bring us the right fixings and specs etc. Using wobble bolts is like cutting springs to me, it's not right, nor ideal, and there are other ways to do it better - I'd change hubs if it was me stuck in this position.
