Hello Gents

Thanks for all the replies

Jay your pictures are ace - really helped - especially the 40mm socket ..... I was wandering what size I would need to allow clearance for the bush to slide into too !!!

I appreciate all your comments about not fitting polly bushes, but at 90 quid a shot that just isn't going to happen. I would love to have the best of the best fitted, but I simply cant afford them. I have to watch every penny just to keep the old girl on the road as I just don't have the spare cash. I would love to throw £1000's at it but the base car doesn't warrant it - its not (ahem) shall we say mint !!!!!

I know people some may scoff at that, but I view it as at least i'm doing my bit to try and keep one of the old RS girls on the road rather than break it or scrap it etc

anyway the rubber ones that are in there are so shot, totally loose and the arm is free to move around which is not good ...... the polly bushes will be a 1000 times improvement at the very least, and I know they will be hard, and they may not last , but the car does so such low mileage anyway (its a toy thing) that they will probably last years in there

fraser9764 - you mentioned they are a bearing ?? ...... mine don't look like a bearing at all ? they look like a rubber affair with a steel outer liner ...... Have I missed something here ? ....... are these a bearing affair ???? (in which case I understand why people are saying don't go polly !)

keep the responses coming guys !

Cheers
Dave
