I know of people that have run wobble bolts for years with no trouble, also people running spacers/PCD adaptors on cars that are used very hard with no issues. If you get the right things and fit them correctly they are perfectly safe. Also spigot rings are something you will find on pretty much all aftermarket wheels, and it's dangerous not to use them...
