Hi all,

Have a 01 TDDI mondeo. Initially the car started cutting out after about 4 miles travelling and starting up again, idling fine but as soon as I tried to pull off it would cut, leave it for about an hour and it would go another 4 miles. Researched the shite out of it, with great help from this site and put it down to the Lift Pump. I bought a 2nd hand one - same problem. Bought a new one - same problem. Now ive just put in a new fuel filter, chopped up the old one to make sure there were no metal fillings in it - none, fingers crossed and out again - another 4 miles and cut. Gona get it on diagnostics tomorrow to see if anything is showing up, engine management light isn't on.

Any ideas - its wrecking my head.
