the rst uses ke jetronic so the fuel is injected mechanicaly. The electronic side of the injection process(pressure actuator) is for cold starting/full throttle/overrun cut off. The ecu needs to know how cold or warm the engine is via temp sensor, so the cold start injector can be operated but this is only when temps are well below freezing, not really needed in this country, so once the engine is running you can disconect the four sensors round the back of the inlet without affecting the way the engine runs hope this helps.
