I had the same problem with my new focus ecoboost after only 1000 miles, took it back to dealership who told me it was the way that I had driven and it was down to wear and tear. Complained to Ford who made a so called goodwill gesture and I had to pay £100 for clutch to be replaced, still not happy though as smell is still there but not as strong and im still trying to argue it with Ford as this shouldn't happen on a brand new car so I shouldn't have had to pay anything. Am on finance with ford so have told them that will hand car back when its finished and will walk away from them never to return.
