All autos do this. It's in D and ticking over at 500 plus rpm, so it's always going to move at a slow pace. It's like putting a manual in 1st and letting it run with the clutch released but no throttle. Difference is that the auto is designed to allow it not to stall when the foot brake is pressed, but a manual will stall,
