do you mean remove the mirror via the access hole under the wing mirror casing? then peel the glass away from the sticky pad and space it out?
no if you pull the mirror in any direction it will move leaving a gap between the mirror and the pedastall or base which fits to the door, place a wedge inbetween you will only need to move the mirror a small amount to gain the angle you need and the gap will hardly be noticable.
