Default MSD Road trip - complete!

Set off yesterday, after much debate decided to drive the Saff the 140 odd miles to Blackpool (was going to trailer it) as it hasn't been out of Teesside under it's own power for years, always trailer it to track days now.
The missus followed in the S Max with the kids as we made an overnighter of it as the kids have never experienced the 'delights' of Blackpool (they're 3 & 7).

Cossie made it without a hitch, although the paranoia I experienced on the M6 was ridiculous God knows how many times I checked the oil pressure and temp gauges.

It went over there with an alleged 347bhp from Motoscope, it left MSD today with a confirmed 297bhp and a very firm instruction 'do not drive it over 5000rpm as it's going lean'.
The last set up had apparently wound up the fuel pressure to avoid it leaning off, as a result it was running very rich low down. Also advised to change the fuel pump, the wiring, the injectors for either Siemens blacks or greys (greens not man enough for the T34.48), the ECU for a L8 and the engine wiring loom before making any of the above changes.
The drive home was an exercise in self restraint, trying to stay under 5k rpm was a struggle, but the pull from 3.5k upwards does feel harder than it did. 70> on the motorway is just ridiculous and once on the twisty stuff over the Pennines it got very entertaining.

Lots of work to do before it gets tracked again, can't fault the service from MSD, very thorough report and a good chat to back it up. Spot on.

If anyone is thinking of making a weekend trip over there, can't recommend the Premier Inn in Bispham enough. £60 odd for a spotless family room, decent pub next door and 10 mins walk to the trams.
Kids loved it, and it was proper sunny for 2 days.
