Why? The standard manual box has been proven for silly power, Jamie P was still running it the last I heard, and that's at 1200bhp.
I'd personally go Jap too, anyone that slates JAp stuff is just in denial
The gearboxes are 2 grand for a used v160 so not cheap.
As a package though a 2jz with a v160 is cheap in comparison to most other setups.
