Spent most of the weekend tooling about in my E36, I absolutely love the drive and noise of a straight 6 old school bmw engine, after my mate had an e30 325 sport many years ago I was hooked.
I can totally appreciate that everyone has their favourite, obviously if we're talking race engines then thats a whole different discussion. Also 5 pot turbos of any marque are pretty epic. I don't particularly like the noise cossie engines make by comparison, it just an old 4 cylinder with a turbo, it will never sound "sweet"
Gotta love a V8, well until my vanos fucked up....
Actually that's a very good shout, any of the 6 cylinder Beemer lumps with a monster turbo strapped to it gets my vote!
