I have a 2005 mk6 fiesta zetec s 1.6 petrol

I was on a long drive on a hot day and my engine managment light started flashing the car seemed to be running ok but as soon as I came off the motorway my car was shaking badly and going through the gears their was a strange sound. So I stopped and lifted my bonnet up and my engine was making a strange noise similar to a taxi and rocking my car also my exhaust was making a strange noise can anyone help please.
