Default 2003 Focus RS - #2410

For sale I have my MK1 Focus RS which I have owned for roughly 12 months, however it’s now time to move on to and try something else. Despite being my only car, it is only driven once or twice a week due to walking to work and is always garaged when not in use.

Anyway, usual details of the car:
- 2003 “53”
- 79,000 miles
- Full service history up until I bought it, however I’ve serviced the car twice in 12 months and have kept all the receipts
- 10 months MOT
- 4 months tax
- 7 previous owners
- Only 1 key unfortunately

Some of the RS specific details:
- Car is number 2410 of 4501 built
- Comes complete with rare original RS mats and RS leather service wallet
- It’s a “phase 2” car which means it has stitched front seat bases and an updated engine map along with a few other minor changes

The service history:
- 3/11/2004 – 6,106 miles – annual service
- 16/12/2005 – 12,195 miles – annual service
- 9/9/2006 – 29,138 miles – annual service
- 30/10/2007 – 39,162 miles – major service
- 7/4/2009 – 51,654 miles – annual service
- 27/7/2010 – 68,953 miles – annual service
- 17/6/2011 – 70,408 miles – annual service
- 5/9/2012 – 74,697 miles – major service
- 15/3/2013 – 78,243 miles – annual service

Work carried out in my ownership:
- The car had a refurbished standard turbo fitted by Demon Performance Centre (RS specialist) on 19/11/2012 (76,147 miles) due to the old oil seals leaking.
- The standard heater matrix hoses, which are a known weak point on the car, were replaced with uprated silicone items on 3/1/2013 (76,930 miles), again at Demon Performance Centre.
- On 20/4/2013 (78,469 miles) I fitted an 88 degree thermostat to make sure water temperatures are kept low during the summer. At the same time I flushed the coolant system and re-filled it with genuine Ford anti-freeze.
- I also replaced the rear brake pads at the same time as the thermostat with genuine Ford pads.
- The entire underside and wheel arches have been sealed with Dynax S50 to prevent rust.

Unusually for this car, there aren’t many modifications carried out, the only ones are:
- Gloss black front splitter
- 12.5mm rear axle spacers
- 18x8 Toora R700 wheels (freshly refurbished 2 months ago with Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tyres, all with at least 6mm of tread)
- Colour coded and de-locked door handles and front grille surround
- EBC drilled and grooved front brake discs

The bodywork is in very good condition with the exception of some stone chips on the front bumper and bonnet, along with two small scratches above the driver’s side front and rear wheel arches. The car had a complete re-spray in 2010 and looks just as fresh today. I’m an amateur detailer so only the best products have been used on the car and it gets cleaned more than it’s driven! I’m always getting compliments on just how clean the car is. It has also been machined polished 2 weeks ago. The wheels are also in excellent condition having just been refurbished and powder coated in bright silver.

The interior is very well kept with minimal wear on the seat bolsters and no rips or tears in the seats. The steering wheel does have some minor wear on one side but is original. The only mark inside is on the driver’s door card in the very top corner by the door mirror, this was there when I bought the car. There are a few squeaks and rattles inside but it’s a 10 year old car with a firm ride so is to be expected.

I’ve tried to be completely honest with the car but if you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to ask. I can also send extra pictures on
request.

Price of the car is £7,000 however I am open to SENSIBLE offers.
