Hi, this is my Ka with 1.6 Zetec-S engine. 2 days ago I had the engine removed for the crate 1.8 Zetec engine I bought.

Being a carburated engine, this might not be a perfect example to the EFI way of doing things. You'll need Fiesta Mk4/5 bell housing to fit your gearbox, a custom made engine mount (I used a Hyundai van's gearbox mount rubber), preferably a larger radiator; I was using the std. radiator with Vauxhall 2.0 cooling fan, I guess it would be more than OK in the UK, as she has a cooler climate than Turkey.

Throttle bodies or DCOE carbs won't find any space, even if you cut the front to open up space, you can't fit trompets or filters, better forget them I used upright Dellortos going up out of the bonnet. Being a stupid way of doing things, they looked and roared awesome when the scoop was removed (summer memories )... Anyway, the std. EFI inlet manifold will find its place with a simple bodywork.

With the salvaged engine over 90.000 mileage I had a healthy 95 hp @ 5975 RPM at wheels only with Haltech management and 45 Dellortos. After the cams, new jetting, balancing, racing con rods, headwork and 4 branch manifold it went up to a marvellous 133 hp @ 7625 rpm at wheels, which theorically makes about 158 hp @ flywheel (when bonnet scoop and filters removed).
