It's my first forum post.

Im rebuilding a Ford Escort MK1 (1969) car in Sri Lanka. There are a few mods that I want to do and I thought I'd seek your advice before I get on to doing them.

First order of the day is toe upgrade the front drum brakes with disk brakes coming out of a Escort MK1 1600.

Mine has a 1100 engine. thinking of swapping in a 1600 engine and the gearbox with a engine block number of 681F 6015. Is it worth the swap as its not the desirable 711 block.

Also should I be looking at upgrading anything else? Axels? Prop shafts?

Thirdly I want to put in a 6 meter dash. Can I put it in the existing dashboard panel? Do I need to change the panels as well.
