Mum & stepdad went to Wales for a few days over the bank holiday & they are due back in the morning.
My stepdad has a black cab, which I also have a hand in & drive it part time as well as my full time job.
As the cabs on the road everyday, my stepdad normally takes it to one of those drive in car wash places full of Albanians that do it for £5, I keep telling him not to but what can you do
Anyhow, as a treat instead of going out to work in it, i thought I'd treat the cab to some Autoglym love & a thorough clean it'll be a nice surprise for when he comes back in the morning
So, after a rinse off, & a 2 bucket method wash, the cab's paintwork was in a bit of a state, full of swirl marks etc, this was typical on most panels, shocking really for a 12 month old vehicle:
so 1st off , I gaver the worse of the swirl marks a going over with farecla G3 scratch remover using the waffle pad applicator:
after that, it was on with a coat of Autoglym SRP, a few shots post polish:
In a break between polishing & waxing I gave the tyres a coat of Meguires endurance tyre gel & cleaned the windows inside out with autoglym fastglass:
Then on with the Autoglym HD Wax:
once waxed & then all exterior plastics done with Autoglym vinyl & rubber care I ended up with an exterior finish like this, well pleased:
for good measure, I then cleaned all the interior out, cleaned the drivers area up & gave all the turrerware under the bonnet a clean
I'm knackered now & my right arm is the size of popeye's!
comments welcome, dads in for a shock
