Yeah found this out about a year ago with my Nissan vanette.

Drove down from Aberdeen on asda pump fuel,wouldn't do over 70 and giving it a bootful it smoked like hell.

Got me further than I thought as it wasn't bad on derv but then suddenly the light came on in Cumbria miles from the nearest town etc.

Had to pull into the dreaded services and ended up paying about 10p a litre more than asda,not happy...


Until I pulled off!!!!

Instantly up to 80 on hills etc and no smoke even flat out,I was sorry I didn't brim it but it got me to Merthyr ok then needed a bit more derv,shoved some texaco stuff in and back to 60/70 mph flat out and smoking like mad.

Pretty much used bp for the rest of the time I owned the van with no issues.

Very impressive fuel.
