Most of it is down to personal preference mate but I would always sway towards a grooved disc rather than one with holes in it due to the strength of the disc being better being grooved only. Dimpled is OK also for the same reasons. Brembo, Red Dot, Tarox, all decent brake manufacturers.
Pad choice, I would say Mintex, Ferodo, Brembo etc are all good choices. EBC brakes have had mixed opinion on many forums I've been on over many topics.
