16in wheels are optimum for the MK3/4 escort with max of 25mm drop using decent suspension not budget coilovers!
With S1/rs16i rollbar std or uprated, adjustable TCA's, lower steering rack brackets.
Rear adjustable tie bars with rose joints, rear adjustable link arms. Camber adjuster bolts if required using s1 style side skirt kits.
Rear strut brace at least.

This would equate to an awesome handling car, if you had a decent management system and engine it would be a true weapon.
