driving behavior rs2000 4x4
Hello,
Iīm thinking of buying an escort rs 2000 4x4 in addition to my Focus RS mk1 for winter use.
The focus isnīt really the kind of vehicle for driving or drifting in snow.
My question is how the awd in the rs2000 "feels". I mean I read already a lot about the technical specifications of the awd in the escort.
40%f/60%r torque split doesnīt sound too bad, also the viscous lock middle differential lets me hope that itīs good to drift on snow.
I have already made some really bad experiences with some haldex driven AWDīs, because they have a quite similar to a front driven car.
If there is anyone who has already driven a rs2000 4x4 on snow, or other slippy conditions, I would like to know if the car is controlable enough and has enough grip on the front axle to be fun to drive on snow.
Thanks for your answers,
Stefan
