Yes, the air temp sensor is linked to the ECU, the connections to it may be corroded, loose or come off, if you clean up the contacts/ reconnect it it may be ok

You will need a pre- OBD11 code reader to work on your TDDI (F-super/ Bluefin) an OBD11 one won't work
