The normal fuel pump rewire involves connecting a trigger wire in the boot to original feed and the replacement loom with fused relay near the battery has new feed wires direct to the pump, but I would check wiring under dash as well as I removed my lower dash to sort a few wiring issues and found the connector between engine loom and main car loom had melted in the plug which could be a fire hazard so I have removed wires from the plug and replaced connector with a new higher rated connector to be sure, it would still work with a new fuel pump loom but I feel happier that I have no melted wires that could be a potential future issue on the car.
