The Mk3s had to be years old/ done 1000s of miles before serious problems occured
As much as I hate to admit it, the PSA engine is massively better than the Ford TDCi.

Does anyone know where the outside air temp on the dash gets read from because. i have a tddi and sometime the sensor stops working and the car goes into limp mode. Its fixed vane turbo so no MAF sensor is it likely to be the MAP sensor failing ?
The air temp sensor is mounted in the bottom nearside of the bumper/grille. it won't be the cause of it cutting it out. Get the fault codes read and take it from there.
