I've had quite a bad oil leak between the engine and gearbox. Thought it was the sump gasket so changed that but it's still leaking.

I've been told it's probably the rear crank oil seal so I'm going to try and change it.

Do I have to remove the subframe completely or can I just drop it down on the gearbox side ?

If I can drop it down on the one side, do I need to undo the bolts holding the steering rack to the subframe or can they be left alone ?
