Do I need to run an uprated breather on my engine? How important is it? And am I doing any damage by not running one short term? and which ones are best?

Spec: 1.9 Specialised engine - GRS - Mongoose 2.5 inch exhuast - NMS Chip + Bleed Valve - 285T2 cam - 1 bar boost.

Quite often when I'm in the car and giving it a bit of welly I can smell oil (Don't forget I've got no interior though) and I've also been told by people following me when I boot it they can smell oil!

Any opinions?
