Lol that's the problem mate as soon as it becomes remotely high performance or fun it's hard to get anything above 30mpg.

That's why I suggested the fabia, chipped there 180 ish bhp and still good mpg. But I agree there not the prettiest car on the road and there is still the skoda stigma.

A civic type r always seems to be a car that the missis favours and when driven normally is quite sensible, but can be a good laugh when you push it on a bit. That said still not great mpg.
