I'm trying to take apart my gearbox to do bearings and seals and whatever else it might need. I've got most of it apart, but I am stuck on the 36 mm nut on the output shaft. I've tried heating it a bit, and banged on it with an impact gun and the super deep socket for a while and have had no luck getting it to come loose. Is there something I'm missing? Any suggestions? I'm at the point that I think I need to take a pencil grinder to it to weaken the nut. Is this a common problem? Thanks for the help.
