It was fun to drive, but i wanted some more and my friend wanted to buy my ZVH and gearbox. So i sold it and car stays 3y in garage and waits new engine.
From that first conversion i have change my points of view in engine building and overall project building.
New engine building started from Silvertop Zetec 2,0.
Spec list:
Head with supertech +1mm valves IN & EX, with BMW bronze valve guides. ARP studs + Cometic head gasket (don't have yet, must measure heads combustion chamber first, for correct gasket thickness)
Bottom 9,0:1:
Je Pistons, Pro Seal rings + Eagle rods. Mahle/Kolbensmith bearings +ARP`s.
Work in progress (engine block washed):

Parts:

For starters cleaning bolt holes:

Measurements check:

Oil sprays in, big end bearings installation with Liqui Moly special lubricant:

Crank in place and ARP studs stretched:

Piston ring gaps grinded for correct fitment:

First weekend, ~12h labour.
Time flies when you do things like they should be done.
Conrod ARP tightening forces also measured.

Next weekend work continued:

Pistons & rods assembled and rings installed:

Pistons in:

And rod big ends stretched:

My mate M-Tech, who stands behind all this, measuring (Me, Bomsch as Mr. Wilson behind the wheel):
.
Another 4h gone. Now we will wait valves from US, to arrive.

Another parts around the engine:
830cc Siemens Deka injectors
Custom IN/EX manifolds
Megasquirt 2 V3 with launches, flat shift and so on. (maybe will upgrade to MS-3.)
Tial 44 wastegate.
Holset HX35 "Super"
MTX-75 Mondeo/RS2000 gearbox swap with MFactory metal plated dif.
