I bought one, poorly maintained, minimal service history on 110k , changed the cambelt and waterpump, plugs all fluids and filters and got 9000 miles out of it and in that time it only cost me a clutch pedal cylinder and 2 tyres. That was used as a daily did 20 mile round trip each day to work in it and visited family one day a weekend 30 mile round trip £35 a week in juice wernt too bad. still going now my cousins got it, top end is a little rattly now.
edit.. the inlet runner cable thing broke on mine when i got it (common fault) I unplugged the control box on the bulkhead and took the engine managment bulb light out. ran faultless since.
