Have been looking for a company to blast clean parts for my rebuild and have found one near Doncaster called the Aqua Blast Center.

Spoke to the owner today to find out what Aqua Blasting is all about and what can be blasted. It's a wet process using high pressure water & media so that it doesn't take off any surface material; peels the dirt away without any damage to the part i'm told.

Used mainly to clean alloy parts such as rocker covers, cylinder heads, crankcases, inlet manifolds, bell housings, gearbox casings and carbs. Parts need stripping down, so no bearings, seals etc and must be degreased and free of paint.

I took a look at his website to see some examples and it's very impressive. Parts look like new. Best to have a look and see what you think.
