done a few td conversions ova the years into various vans ive owned
i just fitted the engine onto std box useing the non turbo flywheel & clutch
welded the td centre section to the van exhaust where it fitted best
never wired up any sensors on the pump etc.. & it ran fine for years & prob still is today
the td pump will have a metal cover over the stop solenoide & is a pain to remove, ide try get this off while the engine is out. ive even taken pumps off in the past just to get this shield off. you can either fit a new stop solenoide with no pats or just live up the original one in the pump
