Hello all, First post on the forum, My name is Max and I currently live in Bristol. Just bought myself a J reg 1.6 xr2i in diamond white on eBay for 350 quid. Will upload pics later, my intention is to fully restore the vehicle (all standard parts luckily nobody has messed with it) the gent I'm buying it from says the engine starts and runs but there is an electrical fault, possibly coil pack. Just after some general advice on a restoration really, if anyone has any parts they think could help let me know, also if anyone is in the local area and can recommend a good welder or someone with experience working with mk3s etc. new undertaking for myself as it will be the first time I've restored a car, regards Max
