as said really you should never try undoing/re tightening the cam shaft bolts with the timing plate in place

they are not "oil take offs" as they have coolant flowing through them pipes. the unit it self is a heat exchanger as such the faster warming coolant will help get the engine oil up to operating temperature quicker.
