I do agree with p/f/a but in my experience the tip doesnt have a 100% grip coefficient and i find the smaller it is the more it skids on the cueball as more force is concentrated at it's point whereas a bigger tip doesnt skid so much as the force is less concentrated.
Dunno why i persist in using a tiny tip :s
