, unless you use a tip with a perfect concave ) so the grip is dependant on the 'give' in the tip, with a bigger tip you need less give to get a bigger contact patch, ergo more grip. i have played since I was 11 and played in pool and snooker leagues for a number of years so I'm talking from experience not just speculating. Anyway in snooker/pool being happy and relaxed is much more important so if you are happy with your tip then you are halfway there no matter its size
