you need deep pockets restoring jap cars. i spent over £28000 restoring and modifying an older rwd celica in the late 90's. i remember refurb brake calipers were over £600 from toyota in comparison to under £100 for my bmw e30 calipers. body panels were scarce and had to be souced from various main dealers around the world and cost me nearly 3 grand for a pair of doors,bonnet,front wings,rear quarters,cills and a rear hatch!
