Default Focus Rear disc conversion

Hi joined today and this is my first query. Have a low mileage 2005 Mk1.5 Focus with rear drums (plus ABS). Want to convert to ST170 discs but use brand new parts. I have a pair of stub axles (with ABS fitting), but my question is, it appears that std Focus's share the same parts, however ST170s have 280mm discs and the std models are smaller at 254mm. On ebay listings they say calipers fit all models. Have I got it wrong?. Are all rear stub axles the same and the calipers different to take in account the larger ST discs??? (may be the carriers are different?) Also does anyone know if the rear drum abs sensors are the same as ones that work with discs?

ps in my youth (late 70s) my mates used to build and run around in V6/V8 Capris/Lotus Twin cam Escorts/Cortinas etc. I ran a 5.7 V8 Viva (actually still have it),I am pleased that vehicles can still be modified unless EU law comes into force to prevent such changes in the future.....
