The mk1 was more tame in how it drove (I was just a passanger) didnt feel as dramatic but then it was a good amount less powerful.

The Escort does feel old compared to the MK1 but it has that kind of old school feel where you are doing it rather than the car if that makes sense. I think if I did more miles I would prefer a MK1 as it was a less grawling drive.

Cheers for the comments guys, no real plans to sell at the moment. Will see how the summer goes with the old girl
