First I took the rest of the old roof off.

Soon as that came away, more work. The section under the roof and some of the gutter was a little weak (The roof is spot welded along the top of the gutter so it needs to be strong )

Couple of hours later it's welded.

Here is the new skin ready to go on,it should be spot welded but not having access to a good one I decided to plug weld it.

Had to spend a little time getting it to fit in the right place before clamping it all up.

This is it welded on ,if it looks a little strange that's because both roof and rear quarter has a deep channel in it they only plug welded it across from the factory and then lead loaded it. I have plugged it across and also seam welded it. This will stop it flexing and be a much stronger job. I just want to make sure it is built to last.

Almost on ,it just needs welding onto the gutter rails although one still needs a little more work to finish it.
