best off looking for a bad connection or a broken wire first as that might be the reason, if you have old coil pack plug it back in and check as it prob wasnt that in the first place, i know the imobilisers were shit as i had an onion done same thing ended up tracing imobiliser and bypassing it, iam local to you if you get stumped.
