After my last car (Vauxhall Corsa) blew its whole transmission, I was left without a car. My dad took pity on me and bought himself a new one, offering me his Focus at trade value. Since he's had it from new, and looked after it well, I thought I'd struggle to get a better value car I could be sure of, so took him up on that.
Having modified my two previous cars in the past, I can't help but do the same to this. I'm not a bodykit chavvy Ripspeed loving guy, much prefer the OEM+ kind of stuff, so that's what I'm going to concentrate on with this.
Main plans at this stage are
Cosmetic: ST170 interior bits (pedals, silver door handles), ST170 exterior bits (foglights, spoiler, lower grille), Xenon headlights, de-badging, colour-coding bumper inserts, door & boot strips, door handles & grille surround.
Braking: ST170 front brakes & ST170 rear disc conversion, with braided hoses
Suspension: Lowering springs (35-40mm)
Wheels: ST170 wheels, 1 set for summer, 1 set with winter tyres.
ST170-ing the interior/exterior, such as wheels, pedals, interior door handles
Performance: air filter, stainless exhaust system
Potential plans for the future
Uprating the suspension with adjustable shocks, strut braces, ARBs. Uprating the brakes with fast road pads & drilled or grooved discs, and some RBF fluid. Then depending on funds, I'd like to maybe do some engine tuning, and an ST170 Recaro interior would be nice.
Any suggestions and tips are welcome
Here it is as I got it.
