Thanks bud I've checked that anal valve earth, that's connected to the body as I should be. Yes I read about the chap with the same problem having to use brake cleaner to start. It's certainly a strange one I've done a few efi zetec conversions in mk4 escorts with no issues what so ever so I'm stumped on this one lol.
