Like I say though this car has got to be passed on to my sister so need to get myself another car before I can start looking at these things unfortunately, have 5 months to save up if I'm going to go for it this year

Mk4 1.25 fiesta is looking a good challenger, just for how many parts fit them, something like -
Puma springs and dampers, cosworth brakes, mondeo 15" steels, possibly port and polish the inlet/head (dad and my boss have both done this so I'm not just going in blind) then it's a case of seat time/looking for events to enjoy the car on - that should be do able for 1k and insurance for about 1.5k
