The 220 is a Transit Connect which doesn't have oil seals around the injectors. It has the old 8 valve 1.8L diesel in it.

If you do actually mean the full size Transit with the 16 valve engine then no, it's not a common fault and you can change them without taking all the injectors out as you have to remove the seals to get to the injector nut below them.
