Next year it's definitely something I want to get into, really feeling a ka, cheap, on paper slower than the yaris (15bhp down I believe) but that doesn't bother me if it's going to be used hard, fair few tuning bits for the 1.3 and plenty of engine conversions if I stuck with the car. Plus it would by MY car not a car I am going to have to give back
Just buy a bagger to do it in and just have temp insurance on it for the days you want it. (its what i do)
Personal id get a mk1 2.0 focus as there cheaper to buy more powerfull take to mods much better and cheaper to insure, road rallys really anit rallying and nor is it racing its a test of beening able to drive to checkpoints precisely on time and beening early or late means you lose points so you could do it in your current car and it doesnt matter what size engine you have as you can't break the speed limits any way since its all held on public roads.
